David Butler, 60 years old, passed away on Jan. 27, 2026 in Spokane, WA.  He was the husband of Jeanine Butler for 31 years of marriage together.

Born in Coeur d’ Alene, ID.  He was the son of Terry and Linda Butler.  He graduated from Shadle Park HS in 1984 and then attended SCC in the Carpentry Program and played football for SFCC.

Dave worked in construction throughout his life and worked the last 26 years at Airway Heights Correction Center as a Construction/Maintenance Supervisor.

Dave’s hobbies and interests included working out, which included doing many Spartan races.

He enjoyed archery hunting, BBQing, camping, traveling with his family, country music, concerts and unfortunately (lol) reality tv…

He was a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Gonzaga Bulldogs.

He was one of the luckiest people ever….from winning trips to concert tickets.

David was known for being such a kind man to everyone he encountered…He was an easygoing, happy-go-lucky guy. He loved being goofy with his children and got a kick out of scaring Jeanine….

Most of all, Dave loved his family and friends, always willing to help others and always doing the little things to show his love, whether that be bringing home coffee or filling up our water glasses. He truly was a servant to us all!

David is survived by his wife, Jeanine.

Children, Justin Butler, Alyssa True (Ryan)and Morgan Butler.

Brother’s Kevin Butler (Kim) and Brian Butler.  Many nieces, nephews and in-laws that loved him dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Feb. 13, 2026, at 2pm, Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA.

A reception will follow after from 3pm - 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations made in David’s honor to the UGM, 1224 E Trent Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
