Diann Kay (Wellman) Ramsey Obituary (Age 66) Following an extensive battle with breast cancer, Diann Kay Ramsey was peacefully accepted by her Lord and Savior on January 13th at her home in Rockford, WA. Diann was born in Spokane, WA on May 5, 1951, to Merle and Helen Wellman growing up with her sister Enola and brother Larry. Diann attended Shadle Park High School and quickly obtained her radiology technology certification through St. Lukes Hospital. As a highly respected technologist, she progressively moved through the modalities of CT and MRI at various locations in Spokane to finish her career with Rockwood Clinics leading their MRI team. While volunteering as a member of the Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol, she met her husband Roy and married in May of 1983. Diann was passionate about many things, but particularly her faith, family, friends, animals, and nature. Diann had a unique, radiant and peaceful presence with all whom she engaged. Survivors include her mother Helen Wellman, brother Larry Wellman and nephew Patrick of Spokane, husband Roy and son Lane (Mindy) and three precious grandchildren Bodie, Piper and Bridger of Rockford. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Merle and sister Enola. A special thank you to her long-time friends, Nancy Carrillo and Nancy Olson for their compassionate devotion and care. In addition, thanks to Dr. Jay Wittenkeller and staff for their loving care, and Horizon Hospice for their personalized approach at home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27th at CenterPlace - Mirabeau Point Park, 2426 North Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA 99216. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Life Center, Mt. Spokane Ski Patrol or the Union Gospel Mission.
