September 13, 1928 - February 18, 2012

Dolores "Dolly" P. Downie Obituary Dolly Downie went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was reunited with the love of her life, Lee Downie, on February 18, 2012. Dolly was born in 1928 in Lewistown, Montana. She came to Spokane in the late 1940s and married Lee in 1951. Together they had a daughter Chiere. Dolly was an amazing cook and spent some time working in local diners and restaurants, but it was her cooking and cake decorating for family, friends and church that made her famous amongst those that knew her. Dolly is survived by her daughter Chiere and son-in-law Marc Martyn: two grandchildren, Jake (Rochelle) and Trena (Steve). She had five great-grandchildren Noah (6), Nate (4), Faith (2), Hannah and Hailey (3 months) that affectionately referred to her as GG. Dolly's neighbors, the Poffenroths, were dear friends and a second family to her. Dolly was an amazing woman who will be missed by many! A Funeral Service will be held at the Country Church of the Open Bible on Saturday, February the 25th at 9:30 AM.
