Dolores Eloise Kagi, 90 years old, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on July 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
She was born in Starbuck, Washington, in 1934 to Merna C. Oswald and Berton G. Wood. Dolores attended St. John High School before studying nursing at Eastern Washington University, going to work as a surgical nurse and later receiving her RN license at Spokane Falls Community College.
Dolores was a beloved mother to Kevin M. Tolley, Michael K. Tolley, Thomasina J. Kagi, and Jennifer M. Kagi.
Dolores was a devout Christian who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Her commitment to her missionary work for Campus Crusade for Christ and Youth with a Mission took her across the United States and to Senegal, Africa, where she shared her religious teachings. She founded the Northwest Bible Church of Mead, Washington, and took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over her.
Dolores was preceded in death by daughter Thomasina J. Kagi and is survived by sister Alice F. Becker, brother Jackie D. Wood, sons Kevin M. Tolley (Patti), Michael K. Tolley (Wanda), daughter Jennifer M. Kagi; grandchildren Kristina, Kimberly, Luke, Morgan, Beau, Nathan, and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jordan, Hazel, Angel, Isabelle, Jaelyn, Ryan, and Jordis, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
A viewing hour will be held at 12:30 pm on August 7, 2025, at Heritage Funeral & Cremation. 508 N. Government Way. Spokane, WA 99224. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm with a Graveside Service at 2:30 pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. 211 N. Government Way. Spokane, WA 99224.
