Dolores Kofmehl

May 14, 1943 - October 10, 2011

Dolores Kofmehl Obituary (Age 68) On October 10, 2011 our beloved Wife and Mother was called to be with our Lord and Savior. She approached life with strength, kindness, giving and love. Dolores was born May 14, 1943 in Jacobsberg Ohio; a coal miner?s daughter of Earnest and Mary Homan. She graduated from Ulsonian High School in 1961 and enlisted in the Army where she met the Love of her life Gerald Kofmehl. They married in 1964 in Virginia and moved back to Spokane, Washington where she was employed with Spokane County Municipal Court for 25 years. She then moved on and was employed with Leland Trailer as the General Manager for 17 years. She thoroughly enjoyed the various jobs she held throughout her lifetime. Dolores enjoyed traveling with her husband and they traveled throughout the Country as well as out of the Country to places such as Australia, Tahiti, Mexico, and Canada. In her spare time, she loved to read a good book, crochet blankets for the family and sweaters for her husband. She also loved being a fan at the Spokane Chiefs Hockey and Indians Baseball games. Dolores enjoyed volunteering for Bloomsday and actually was a finisher in the race a couple of years. She led a full and active life and even went on a hunting trip with her husband and close friends one year, where she got an antelope in Gillette, Wyoming. Most of all she loved her family dearly, always putting their needs ahead of her own. Always giving and never expecting anything in return. Those who knew Dolores will remember her for her quiet charming ways, beautiful smile, and her positive, warm and accepting attitude. Dolores is survived by her husband Gerald Kofmehl, son Wayne Kofmehl (and wife Leesa), granddaughter Reagan Kofmehl, of Renton WA, daughter Diane Jeckle of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by her sisters Janet McCloud, Judy Moore, Helen Homan, her brothers Ralph Homan and Randy Homan of Ohio. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 14, 2011, 1:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home.
