Don V. Jones

Don V. Jones Obituary (Age 95) Don passed away on October 28, 2014. He was born on July 23, 1919 in Graf, Nebraska to Charles and Mamie E. Jones. After his 8th grade school year, Don got a job and started his working career. He later joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on July 24, 1939. Don later met Marie Osborn, whom he married on February 14, 1970. They have enjoyed 45 wonderful years together. Don was a bus driver for the Spokane Transit Authority until 1985, retiring after 42 years of service. Don enjoyed many hobbies including rock rolling. He also had a passion for Ping Pong and thoroughly enjoyed the sport as well as gardening and traveling. Don is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Marie Jones, three stepchildren, his half-sister, two half-brothers, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Edward Jones and his grandson Jeremy McLean. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Heritage from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:00AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
