March 30, 1931 - March 12, 2017

Donald C. Bearden Obituary On March 12, 2017 Donald C. Bearden passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Don was born March 30, 1931, to Clarence and Grace Bearden in Covington, Kentucky. He grew up in Kentucky and was one of 6 children. In 1951 Don joined the Air Force and was stationed in Washington State where he met his wife of 61 years. Don is survived by his wife JoAnn; two daughters, Tammy Schindler (Doug), and Linda Burns (Dan); grandchildren, Louis Malinak, Kellie Malinak, Chad Burns, Whitney Emmerson, Tyler Burns; great grandchildren, Jackson Malinak, Kai Burns, Sienna Burns, Silas Burns; a brother and two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dons greatest joy in life was his family. He took every opportunity to spend time and participate in the activities of his daughters as well as their children. He was an avid sports fan as well as participant and when it came to the grandchildren he was there to coach from the sidelines. His strong faith in God and devotion to his wife and family was unwavering. Our hearts ache for the loss of our loved one but knowing he is home with God gives us peace. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of Spokane would be appreciated.
