Donald Dean Usher Obituary (Age 87) Donald Dean Usher passed away on October 9, 2014 in Coeur d?Alene, ID at the age of 87. He was born on April 23, 1927 in Kasota, Minnesota. The youngest of eight children, his family moved out west to Spokane when he was a baby. He grew up and went to school on the south hill. He married Alice Lorraine Skarphol on May 7, 1949 and built the family home where they raised their three girls. They enjoyed their summers on the Spokane River, and winters in Arizona and enjoyed their final years at their home on the river. Don was preceded in death by his wife Alice. They shared 64 happy, loving years together. Survivors include his brother Joseph (Jan) Usher; daughters Vicki (Cliff) Johnson, Karen Leveque, Sandra (Brian) Gump; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Viewing will take place at 12 pm and Funeral Service at 1 pm on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Sunset Chapel inside Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA, with Graveside Service to follow at 2 pm.
