Donald "Don" Woehl Obituary Donald (Don) Woehl passed away peacefully on January 3rd. He was an extraordinary man who lived a full life. Born in Fairfax, South Dakota in 1928, Don grew up in a small farming community. His family moved to Billings, Montana, where he graduated high school and attended Eastern Montana University. Don studied art and education. He would go on to teach 5th grade for over 30 years, retiring from Spokane Public Schools in 1986. Don loved mechanics and building and often worked on fixing up his cars and house. He was extremely devoted to his church and Lutheran faith. He was a loving son, kind father, and loyal friend. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Hattie Woehl, and by his brother, Melvin Woehl. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Geoff Potter, and by his granddaughters, Gwyneth and Skye Potter. Memorial service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5810 E Meadowland Rd, Spokane, on Saturday, January 20th at 12:30pm.
