Donald E. "Don" Parkins Obituary (Age 83) Don passed away peacefully on October 28, 2013 in Spokane, WA. He was born on May 2, 1930 in Moscow, ID to his parents Alvin and Thursa Parkins. Don served in the United States Coast Guard and was married to his wife Joyce for 50 years. He was a sales manager and the secretary at the Eagles Lodge. Don was a member of the Hassie Club, Eagles, and VFW 1435. He is survived by his children, Don Parkins, Penny (Lyal) Sagendorf, Michael (Kathy) Welch, and Judy (Gary) Johnson; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, his son Rick, and five siblings. Don was loved by all and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O.
