Donald Eugene "Don" Kamstra Obituary (Age 75) Passed away peacefully March 31, 2010 after an 11 month battle with lung cancer. Don was born November 4, 1934 in Marcus, WA. He resided in Colville and Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School class of 1952. He served two years in the US Army, stationed in Korea. Don's entire working environment was in banking/finance, moving up the ladder rapidly while residing in Philadelphia, Manhattan, San Francisco and Newport Beach, CA. He retired as Executive Vice President of JP Morgan Chase. After retirement Don returned with his wife Vicki to Spokane in 1993. He spent 10 years of his retirement traveling in his motor home, towing the boat with his wife Vicki and golden retriever Marcus. Taking up the game of golf just five years ago Don and Vicki played every course in the local area and Palm Springs in the winter. Don is survived by his wife Vicki; son and daughter-in-law Randy and Michelle Hendricks; grandchildren Allison and Connor; brother Bob; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Ray by just one week. The family would like to express special thanks to dear friends Bill and Charlotte Ardiss and Del and Shari Hueter, whose special friendship made the journey bearable. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday April 7, 2010 in Heritage Chapel. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice House in Don's name.
