Donald Ray Clary Obituary Donald Ray Clary, aged 81, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, October 7 in Spokane, Washington. He was born July 3, 1937 in Seattle and raised by his parents John Clifton Clary and Geraldine Marguerite Clary in Camas, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Carol, and sons John, Ronald (Renate), Robert (Charlotte), Paul (Jennifer), and daughter Joy Duke (Larry). He is also survived by brother Bob Clary (Dorri). He was preceded in death by a daughter Laura and granddaughter Lindy. He enjoyed fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Don honorably served in the United States Navy and later as Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol. He was once a member of the Spokane Police Reserve and a representative for the American Diabetes Association. He loved serving his community. He was a consummate salesman, beginning in the encyclopedia and life insurance businesses and finishing his successful career with Bristol Laboratories where he was a pharmaceutical representative. Don became an ordained minister and served as the pastor of Five Mile Community Church. After retirement he founded Family Living Ministries International, focused on the country of Latvia. Locally he was a Minister of Visitation for Indian Trail Community Church. He was a trained musician and played piano and saxophone, using those skills in his ministry. Don had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. His pride and joy was his 1968 GMC pickup with cabover camper. He also loved football. College or Pro, it didn't matter, as long as he was watching football. His favorite Pro team was the Seattle Seahawks and his favorite college team was the Washington State Cougars, where he was a member of the Cougar Club. Don traveled many countries of the world and explored his roots in Croatia. His greatest love was Latvia, where he served as a Missionary/Educator/Counselor for decades and was known as the "Apostle of Latvia." Viewing will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 11:00am to 4:00pm and again Friday, October 19, 2018 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. There will be a private graveside service followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Indian Trail Community Church, 9010 N.
