Donald W. Holland Obituary (Age 90) Donald W. Holland passed peacefully March 9, 2016 with his loving family beside him. Don was born December 31, 1925 in Spokane, WA to Thelma Louise and John Holland. He grew up in Greenacres and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1943. After graduation, he joined the Navy and served as an aviator until 1946. He married his lifelong love, Nadine, and enjoyed over six decades of happy marriage. Don loved gardening, building, traveling, and ballroom dancing. He was a carpenter and contractor and worked diligently and devotedly in that field until his retirement. Still expressing his love for the deep blue sea, Don and his wife Nadine enjoyed many ocean cruises and attended many of the senior dance sessions in the Spokane area where they not only enjoyed dancing, but also helped as greeters and clerks. Don is survived by his children, Michael D Holland and his wife, Shara (Spokane); Patrick J Holland and his wife Trudy (Mill Creek); and Jean Mims, (Everett); as well as five grandchildren, Sean, Chris, Peter, Gerald, Jennifer; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 12 pm ? 5 pm and on Saturday, March 12 from 8 am ? 5 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. His services will be at 9 am on Sunday, March 13 at Heritage Funeral Home.
