Donald W. Woodcock Obituary (Age 94) Passed away June 24, 2014. He was born Feb. 5, 1920 in Fruitland, WA to Franklin and Jennie (Armstrong) Woodcock. He grew up in Fruitland and entered the Army Air Corps in WWII and was recalled to the Air Force for the Korean Conflict. He served in Amarillo, TX, St. Petersburg, FL and Chandler, AZ. He married Alva Grytdal August 21, 1950 in C?da, ID. When he returned to Spokane he worked for Carnation Dairy, retiring in 1978 and went to work part-time for Behm?s Creamery in Spokane Valley. His hobbies were HAM radio operator (WB7WFZ), CB radio, Community Radio Watch, woodworking, making little wooden children?s cars that have been sent to several places around the world. He was a member of the Sons of Norway. His quick wit, incredible sense of humor and unlimited capacity for kindness will be missed by all who knew him. He loved people and he never knew a stranger. Don is survived by his three daughters Lois (Norm) Cwick, Kaye Woodcock (Bernie Famiglietti) and Sonja ?Donna? Wentz; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend/companion Helen Graf. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Alva Woodcock in 2011; parents and brother Lloyd Woodcock. Visitation will be 10-5 on Friday and Funeral Service 1PM Saturday June 28, 2014 at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Society, 17121 E. 8th. Ave. Spokane Valley, WA 99016.
