Donn Patrick Booth Obituary
(Age 66) Passed away on November 7, 2015 in the home of his oldest daughter, in Spokane, Washington after a brave and brief battle with aggressive cancer due to Agent Orange exposure while serving his country. Donn was born on April 3, 1949 and lived most of his life in Spokane. He joined the Army at the age of 17 and served in Germany, Vietnam and Korea. He built a career as a craftsman and owned his construction business for over 20 years. Donn was happiest outdoors - hunting, fishing, camping, and going on motorhome adventures with Marilyn and their dogs Mac and Scottie. Donn loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Donn was a devoted husband and father. Donn took great care of people and things he valued. He was an exceptional and loving father to his daughters, throughout their lives. He had a home of order and beauty, planting extraordinary gardens (to Marilyn's delight). In the last several years he was exceptionally devoted to the care of Marilyn as she progressed through the stages of Alzheimer's disease. Enough cannot be said about how affectionately and tenderly he tended to his wife during this time. He never met a stranger and made fast friends with all he encountered. Always a gentle and loving soul, Donn lent a hand to anyone in need and selflessly cared for his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Lindsey and Kristen; step-children, Wendy (Erik), Lori (Dan), and Travis (Deana); brother, Larry (Vicki); sister, Pamela (Jim); and grandchildren, Zac, Eden, Cassidy, Lexie, Annika, Justin, Sarah, Emma, and Benjamin. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 16th at 4pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
