May 1937 – December 2025

ree

Donna Jean Geer, age 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2025, in Spokane, Washington.

Donna was born in May 1937, in Sunnyside, Washington, to Don and Marion Underwood, and was later adopted by her mother’s second husband, Frank. Though she grew up as an only child, she gained many step- and half-siblings throughout her life.

She graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1955 and attended Kinman Business University in Spokane for one year. At church, Donna met the love of her life, Leo Geer, a farmer’s son from Montana. They were married on April 27, 1957, at the Central Methodist Church in Spokane and shared 59 joyful years of marriage before Leo went home to be with the Lord in 2016.

Donna and Leo began their married life in Spokane and moved their family to Moses Lake, Washington, in 1969. Together they raised four daughters—Tami, Brenda, Robin, and Dana— pouring love, dedication, and faith into their family. Their home was also opened to foster children over the years, including Dennis and Bruce, reflecting their servant hearts and deep compassion for others.

Donna was a devoted stay-at-home mother while her children were young, later working various jobs before she and Leo purchased and operated a Baskin Robbins together for seven years, creaƟng many sweet memories—especially with their grandchildren. Eventually, they returned to Spokane to be closer to family.

The most important aspect of Donna’s life was her walk with the Lord. In 1976, she and Leo began attending Moses Lake Alliance Church, where Donna faithfully taught a 2–3 year-old Sunday School class for over 30 years. They were active members of Moses Lake Alliance Church and later Shiloh Hills Fellowship in Spokane. Through hospitality, service, and teaching, Donna’s life was a testimony of faithfulness, generosity, and love for God and his people.

Donna enjoyed traveling with Leo, her children, grandchildren and friends, and especially loved buying gifts for others. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, crocheting, cross-stitching, reading the newspaper, and spending time with people. She was known for her giving spirit, strong work ethic, and servant’s heart, and cherished the many friendships she formed throughout her life.

Donna is survived by her daughters Tami Geer; Brenda Trowbridge (Bill); and Robin Brown (Rust); and her sons Dennis Binns and Bruce Geer. She is also survived by three grandsons— Regan Brown (Amy), Reid Brown (Debra), and Rance Brown (Elle); daughter-in-law Theresa Brown; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; her daughter, Dana Geer; and her grandson, Ryan Brown.

A memorial service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Indian Trail Church, 9010 N. Indian Trail Road, Spokane, Washington.

“Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.”
