Donna Jean Taylor Obituary (Age 85) Donna J. Taylor, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2016. She was born on May 21, 1930 in Spokane, WA to Elbert O. and Imogene R. Armitage (Trail). Donna attended Stevens Elementary and graduated from Rogers High School, class of 1948. She married Edward D. Taylor of Toledo, OH on December 29, 1951, meeting Ed while he was stationed at Fairchild AFB. Donna starting her working career at Pacific Northwest Bell, took time off to raise her family and in later years worked at Hobson Auto Supply. Donna was a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward and Brothers Larry and Jack Armitage. She is survived by her son Mark A. Taylor (Debra) and her daughters Kristi L. Basse (Dave), Marci J. Taylor, 5 grandchildren; Brian Hobson (Heather), Jason Basse, Amanda Taylor, Steven Taylor, Melissa Taylor and 4 great grandsons; Camden, Braeden, Rilen and Roman. She also leaves behind 2 special sister-in-law?s; Shirley Armitage and Pat Torgerson as well as numerous loving relatives and friends. Family and friends were Donna?s passion. She genuinely loved people and will always be remembered for her entertaining, cooking, and baking. Our mother had a creative touch. She enjoyed drawing and painting, especially China painting. Donna loved to laugh, always seeing the humor in things. She enjoyed playing board games and cards and was always eager to play a game of pinochle. Over the years, Donna was active with the Rogers High School Reunion committee and enjoyed getting together with several ladies social groups. Donna enjoyed watching the Mariners, Seahawks and Zags with her family. A celebration of her life will be held at Quality Inn Oakwook, 7919 N. Division St, beginning at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 20th. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made out to Rogers High School Scholarship Fund and mailed to Marci Taylor, 1530 E Vanetta Ln, Spokane, Wa 99217
