September 20, 1934 - December 30, 2011

Donna Jo Peterson Obituary Donna Jo Peterson was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who passed away at Avalon Care Center in Spokane, WA at the age of 77 on Friday, December 30, 2011. She was born to Clara J (Staley) Karnes and Jesse C Karnes and is survived by her children: Tammy Teachout, Dana Peterson and Andrea Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Lowell Peterson, and daughter, Laura Peterson. Blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Donna loved to spend time with her family. Donna was raised in Elk, WA and a long-time insurance representative in the Seattle and Spokane areas. She and Lowell later moved to Springdale, WA to enjoy a quieter life with acreage. Always wanting to be busy, she worked with the Springdale City Council and on weekends she and Lowell enjoyed shooting darts and hanging out with friends. Donna also loved doing puzzles and continued doing so until her passing. We will miss her huge smile and sense of humor. It was Donna?s wish to not have a memorial service so please take a moment to sign the guestbook and share a special memory you may have of her life, a funny story, a joke she?d tell or just what you will remember her for. There will be an informal pizza party at Round Table on Francis, Sunday, January 8 from Noon-3:00pm. Friends and family are invited to stop by for a toast.
