Donna K. McDonell Obituary (Age 80) Donna Kay McDonell passed away June 8, 2017 in Spokane, WA. She was born on December 23, 1936 in Spokane, WA and was raised here as well. She graduated from West Valley High School and EWU. Donna lead a very unique and interesting life, giving her extraordinary, memorable experiences. Her passion was traveling to different countries to learn about their cultures and history she did this once a year for many years. Her children and career as a counselor meant everything to her and she made many wonderful long-time friends because of it. Donna was an animal lover of especially cats she fed the abandoned, feral and neglected. Word got around in the cat world where to go if they were in trouble; she found homes for many and lived with three. She was an avid reader, especially of books and articles that she could learn something from. Donna is survived by her sons, James (Donna) McNutt, Daniel (Diana) McNutt, Robert (Laura) McNutt, Shawn McNutt and Jason (Debbie) McNutt and she was very proud of all of them. She is also survived by her sister, Pam (Mike) Zent; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Esther McDonell. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 16th at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home.
