Doris Evelyn (Hurt) Kennedy Keller Obituary (Age 101) Doris passed away February 18, 2016. She was born in Athol, ID, on October 9, 1914, the eldest of 6 to Frank and Cora Hurt, all of whom have preceded her in death. Doris and her husband Ted Kennedy raised their only child, daughter Shirley Ann, pictured with Doris (1934 ? 2014), in Spokane. Shirley and her mom were active members of Community Radio Watch of Spokane for 35 years which included manning check-points in the annual Bloomsday Race. Their CB radio ?handles? were ?Alice? and ?Ripple?. Doris retired from ALSCO Linen Supply after 30 years. She remained social and active and she loved to dance and played the Gut Bucket with the Country Jammers Band up until the time of her death. She celebrated her 100th and her 101st birthdays with a motorcycle ride. She is survived by a grandson and a granddaughter, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Auntie Doris said how grateful she felt to be blessed with so many wonderful friends. The family suggests if you would like to remember Doris in a special way, a donation to Hospice of Spokane would be appreciated. Per Auntie Doris? request, there will be no service; however, the family will arrange a Celebration of Life in the near future.
