Dorothy Evelyn Sunden Ackerman Obituary Dorothy (age 85), loving wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully went to be with her Lord on June 16, 2015, in the presence of her family. Dorothy was born on September 16, 1929, in Spokane, to Isedor and Hildur Sunden. She spent most of her life in Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School. She married Daniel on June 30, 1950. She worked at Deaconess Hospital for 38 years. Dorothy was a life-long member of the Church of the Nazarene and loved attending church and reading her Bible. She loved spending time with family, canning, and gardening. Dorothy leaves behind her husband Daniel, children Ruben (Jean) Ackerman, Annette (Steve) Rusch, John (Christine) Ackerman, Donna (Eric) Becker Brown, David (Rhonda) Ackerman, William (Sharon) Ackerman, 15 grandchildren, and two sisters Grace Witter and JoAnne (Ron) Wolfe. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Stanley, twin sister Delores, and oldest daughter Beverly. A private graveside service will be held on Friday and a Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 1 pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Holmes Blvd.
