She was born in (Fort) Macleod, Alberta, Canada and grew up on the family farm in High Prairie, Alberta with sister Alice and brothers Charles and Harvey. After finishing High School in High Prairie and business education in Edmonton she made her way to Dawson Creek to live with sister Alice and husband Pete. As her family grew she loved to be in the outdoors of the great Pacific Northwest and especially British Columbia and Alberta traveling and recreating through their beautiful parks. She loved having a large vegetable garden and flower gardens especially at her home on west Everett that was built on two city lots. She worked for Bill Rielly, CPA and McFarland and Alton downtown as a tax specialist. She had a lifelong strong faith in God and friend in Jesus through the Holy Spirit and shared that spirit with family and friends in a quiet way. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and Driscoll Blvd. Baptist Church through the years and volunteered through her church in Spokane's Caritas programs and drove people to grocery stores to buy food and also handed out food at food banks.
