February 28, 1929 - January 21, 2024

Dorothy Juhlin passed away in her sleep on January 21, 2024. She was born in Seattle, WA, on February 28, 1929, where she spent her life up until her marriage to Bob Juhlin, in 1950. Dorothy and Bob shared many adventures during Bobs career as a pilot in the Army Air Corps and US Air Force, living in cities across the US and in the Philippines and Okinawa, before settling in Spokane, which they loved. She also had a great affection for her ancestral homeland of Norway, which she visited on several cherished trips. Dorothy was the quintessential wife and mother, devoted to her family. She raised her children: Tere, Mike, Rick, Tony, and Kim, with love, kindness, patience, and understanding. She was not only a devoted mother, but also a phenomenal grandmother who nurtured, mentored, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, throughout their lives. Her home was always a central meeting point for the kids in the neighborhood, where they could go for a treat, a story, or advice. She looked for the good in people and the good in every situation. She never complained, judged, or lashed out. Kindness and forgiveness were always her first choices. No one had more of a positive impact or modeled the ideal of love and kindness better than Dorot
