Dorothy M. Butler Obituary (Age 99) Passed away December 31, 2016. She was born August 28, 1917 in Minneapolis, MN to Samuel and Eva Shapiro. She graduated high school in Minneapolis and went to the University of Minneapolis and then joined the Womens Army Air Corp (WAAC). She married Paul Butler in 1945 and they had three children. She continued her education at Eastern WA State University. She has an Accounting, Art and Sociology of Gerontology Degrees. She is a member of Temple Beth Shalom. Dorothy is survived by her husband Paul Butler of 71 years; daughter Dee (Paul) Schrader; son David Butler; grandchildren Carl Thompson and Hsuch hui and Valari (Eric) Hartvigson; 2 great-grandchildren Ava and Ty. She was preceded in death by a daughter Gail Butler. Funeral Service 1:30PM Friday January 6, 2017 at the WA State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake. (Please plan to arrive at 1:15PM and follow the sign directions).
