January 28, 1936 - November 09, 2015

Dory Dunn Obituary (Age 79) In her home of 61 years and surrounded by the never ending love of her family, on November 9th, 2015 Delores Elain Dunn (Dory) 79, entered eternal life and ascended to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on Jan 28, 1936 in Spokane, Washington to John and Alline Britton. Dory graduated from North Central High School in Spokane in 1954 and married the love of her life, handsome sailor, Donald Dunn that same year. She retired from Scollard's cleaners after many years of dedicated service. She ran over 30 Bloomsday races and walked the River Road nearly every day, rain or shine. She loved going to the ocean, hair day with her sister, Weight Watchers, and church. She led her life with amazing grace. Dory was a longtime member of Minehaha Covenant Church until it closed its doors in 2013. Since that time she and her sweet church family have found comfort and peace at Zion Lutheran Church. She lived her life as a graceful angel concerned and prayerful for everyone and their journey. Dory gave unconditional love to all, in her eyes you were perfect. She devoted her entire life to her family. Her spirit is carried on by her three children, Dona (Fred), Dennis (Julie), Dean (Trish), six grandkids and two great-grands. In lieu of sorrow or flowers, know that Dory was so grateful to Cancer Care NW and Dr. Schlegel. She would love any donation to be made to CCNW so that we might find a cure. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 pm at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, November 13th.
