Douglas E. Trainor Obituary Douglas E. Trainor passed away June 23, 2010 at his home. He was born March 11, 1955. He is survived by his parents Violet Trainor (Newman Lake) and Ray Trainor (Spokane), daughter, Ashley Strine and son-in-law Caleb, and grandsons Kiernan & Becket (Spokane), siblings Kathy Smith (Banks, OR), Mike Trainor, (Aloha, OR), Roger Trainor (Newman Lake) and Tami Trainor (Newman Lake), and Rebecca Trainor (Spokane) who he was married to from 1980?87. Doug graduated from Rogers High School in 1973. He received his BA degree from Eastern Washington State College and his MBA degree from City University. Doug worked for the State of Washington for 19 years in Labor & Industries and DSHS as an auditor and held his CPA license. While employed there he met Trudy White of Tenino, WA his long-time companion until his death. He spent most of his adult life in Western Washington and recently moved back to Spokane to be near family and became very involved in their lives. He was an avid learner, particularly interested in history, science and math. He enjoyed chess, reading, anything computer related, sports, politics and especially spending time with his grandsons. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He could brighten any mood with his infectious sense of humor and sharp wit. A service will be held to celebrate his life at Heritage Funeral Home, Saturday, June 26th at 3:30 pm.
