Douglas G. Bakken Obituary Ret Mstr Sgt US Marine Corps (Age 69) Passed away July 13, 2018 at his home. He was born January 15, 1949 in Spokane to Harvey and Charlotte Bakken. He spent some of his youth at Morning Star Boys Ranch. At age 17 he joined the US Marine Corps where he retired in 1993 after 26 years. He studied and received his Bachelor and Master�s Degrees at the University of Maryland. After retirement he drove for Spokane Transit Authority. He had a heart transplant in 1999. He was an honorable and kind person. He is survived by his wife Anne; son Todd (Shannon); daughter Jenne� Pool; sisters Linda (Fred) Howe and Carol (Bob) Stobie; sister-in-law Beverly Bakken; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronnie.
