Dr. Tyanne (Paris) Shein Obituary (Age 88) Died at home on July 9, 2018 in Spokane, WA. She is survived by her daughter Marla Antonio and son-in-law Rodney Antonio of Spokane; her son David Abramovitz of New York City, NY; a grandson, Jess Antonio (and wife Michelle) of Bainbridge Island, WA and granddaughter Ava Abramovitz of New York City, NY. She is preceded in death by her husband Jess Abramovitz and her parents Sadie and Gordon Paris. Tyanne was born on July 5, 1930 in Palo Alto, CA. She lived in a variety of places with her extended family (parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle) for many of her early years. They lived in Los Angeles, CA, Portland, OR and Boise, ID before settling in Walla Walla, WA. Her father was the town furrier and tailor, her mother worked by his side. Tyanne graduated from Walla Walla High School and then went on to the University of Washington where she was a member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and very involved at the Hillel House. After earning her degree in Speech & Drama she went on to the University of California at Berkeley to pursue a graduate degree in Education. It was there she met and married her love, Jess Abramovitz who was attending Boalt School of Law. They made their home in Walnut Creek, CA. After her husband�s untimely death (1964) Tyanne went back to UC Berkeley and earned a Masters Degree in psychology. She worked for 30 years as a school psychologist for Fremont Unified School District along with having her own therapy practice. She made a difference as an advocate for children and touched many lives. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Spokane.
