Durene R. Wilmot Obituary
(Age 78)
Durene entered into the presence of our Lord Jesus on March 7, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born to Orville and Beatrice James on August 11, 1933 in Spokane. Durene loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters, all of Spokane. She was preceded in death by the one true love of her life, her husband of 55 years, Walter Wilmot. Her brother Art is a resident of Sacramento, CA, and her visits with him were very special as they were far and few between. When she taught herself how to use the computer and use Skype, she could hardly pull herself away from the daily Skype visits they would have. They loved reminiscing about their childhood. Durene attended church at the Fellowship of God and New Horizons Community Church. She loved the weekly Bible Studies with her lady friends from New Horizons Community. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her family and friends. She loved everyone and they loved her. She worked many years and a nurse's aide. She loved working with the elderly and on many occasions played the piano for them to cheer them up. She had varied interests, one of which was going to Northern Quest Casino with her family and sisters. She also loved her little dog Lucky, who will greatly miss her. Durene is survived by her three children, Cindy Banik, Craig Wilmot, and Sheri Brebner; four sisters: Donna Schilling, Sheila James, Marsha Montgomery and Debbie Richardson and her brother, Art James. She is also survived by six grand-children, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10th from 10:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday, March 12th from 8:00AM - 5:00PM and Tuesday, March 13th from 8:00AM - 1:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
