Dwayne R. Eklund Obituary (Age 84) Passed away September 16, 2010 in Spokane, WA. Dwayne was born September 8, 1927 to parents Oscar and Alma Eklund in Donnybrook, ND. He is one of three siblings, Marvin, Marlyne, and Betty. Dwayne graduated from high school and then he joined the military where he spent four years. He met Lucille in Spokane, WA and on October 6, 1991 they were married. They have four children, four grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Dwayne's past hobbies and interests are bowling, fishing, hunting and boating. He has traveled to Alaska, the Caribbean, and Yellowstone Park. His proudest achievement is winning 100 bowling tournaments. Dwayne is survived by his wife Lucille Eklund; daughter Judy Schwan; stepsons Dale Emery and Ron Emery; brother Marvin Eklund; and sisters Betty Preciado and Marlyne Priester; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Moen, and daughters June Anderson and Jane Eklund. Visitation will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
