January 12, 1923 - November 15, 2016

Earlene Eula (Thompson) Wetzel Obituary Earlene was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, 1923; married Charles Trueax, 1943; raised four daughters and attended the Methodist Church. She worked in Social Services in San Diego, continuing to volunteer in retirement. She married John (Jack) Wetzel and lived until his passing in N Carolina, then returned to Spokane. Earlene saw Gods hand in the world and all people as family. She was a giving and generous spirit in her earthly life, where her heart and keen mind were evident in a life of service to others and in her well-read books. In recent years, dementia clouded her intelligent mind, yet in her last days the radiance in her eyes and typical smile shone brightly. Earlene is survived by: sister, Ann Reamer; children: Charlene Robley (Don), (Steve Zwarg), Jean Duhaime (David), Kathleen Olson, and (Jeffrey Olson); grandchildren: Beth Johnson, Alan Robley, Lynn Haug, Jana Breitsprecher, Zoe Boysen, Kristin Loney, and Andrew Olson; numerous grand/great-grand/and stepchildren, including her first great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in passing by: her husband; parents; daughter, Linda Zwarg (2016); and grandson, Ted Duhaime (2008). We feel you all around Mama! Your love lives on in us!
