September 9, 1932 – April 21, 2025

Edwin "Ed" John Hollow passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the age of 92, less than a month after the passing of his beloved wife, Maurita “Rita” Hollow. Their reunion in Heaven brings comfort to all who knew the depth of their love over 70 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on September 9, 1932, Ed proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 before building a 43-year career in the printing business. Known for his kind heart, sharp wit, and endless supply of dad jokes, Ed brought laughter and joy wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James Hollow and Jane Hartman; his wife, Rita; their son, John Hollow; and siblings Jim, Barb, Charlie, and Betty.

Ed is survived by daughters Sherry (Ted) Urban, Deanna (Steve) Brisbois, and Julie (Tim) Shatto; his siblings John, Shirley, and Janice; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his stories and love forward.

A private graveside service will be held at Arlington West in Greenwood Memorial Terrace, where Ed will be laid to rest beside his cherished wife. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane in appreciation for their compassionate care.
