(Age 79)
Eileen was born July 1, 1932 in Spokane, WA to Alonzo and Sadie "Clyburn" Keebaugh. In 1947 she graduated 8th grade from West Valley High School. Immediately after graduation she went to work for the Cook family of Lamont, WA caring for their children and helping with chores during harvest. Eileen returned to her family home in Spokane where she worked for Sunshine Biscuit. At Sunshine she would meet lifelong friends and get her nickname of Squirt. In 1951 she married Richard "Dick" Leonard, who would stand by her side for the next 60 years. The couple continued to live in Spokane raising their four children until 1974 when they moved to Lind, WA. Once Dick retired in 1988 they returned to Spokane. Eileen enjoyed fishing, bingo, garage sales, family vacations and following kids and grandkids to sporting events and community activities. As life slowed down, Eileen and Dick moved to Parkway Village Assisted Living. Eileen became the social butterfly among her new family. She was deeply involved in all activities. She was appointed as the Parkway's Goodwill Ambassador. She is survived by her husband Richard "Dick" Leonard of Spokane, WA; Darcia "Dee" Bowers of Reardon, Ron Leonard and his wife Linda, Rick Leonard and his wife Lori and Paula Bafus and her husband David; as well as six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
