Elizabeth "Sue" Budd Obituary (Age 72) Sue was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Archie and Dorothy Howard. In her younger days, Sue enjoyed modeling, dancing, and sewing. Sue graduated from Tech High School, in Des Moines, Iowa. As a young adult, Sue did some traveling to numerous places, including California and Alaska, then finally came to her forever home in Spokane in 1967, where she met and married Donald E. Townsend and became an instant mother to his 5 children; Donald E. Townsend Jr. (Linda) of Spokane, WA; Shirlee Hams of Spokane Valley, WA; Barbara Thiefault (Bob) of Spokane, WA; Richard Townsend (Paula) of Spokane, WA; and Angela Kinne (Randy) of Spokane Valley, WA. Donald passed away December 3, 1981, Then Sue joined AA and began a new journey where she later met and married Bill Budd and became a stepmother to his 2 daughters, Michelle Pope of Australia and Lise Wessels (Dave) of British Columbia. Sue had 7 siblings. Three of which pre-ceded her in death; Guy T. Wilson, Guy E. Wilson and Linda Wilson, Parents Archie and Dorothy also preceded her in death. Sue is survived by siblings Brian Howard (Dolly) of Phoenix, AZ; Mary Jo Manley of Sun City, AZ; Betty Isenhart of Sun City, AZ; and Bud Wilson (Tina) of Peoria, AZ. Sue and Bill enjoyed 30+ years of sobriety together, enjoyed traveling around the world visiting family and friends, and going to the Casino until Bill passed away July 30, 2010. Sue?s heart never healed from losing Bill, but now they are reunited; along with many other family members and friends. Sue is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and, nieces and nephews. At Sue?s request, there will be no funeral services. There will be a graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
