Eric Kenneth Degerness Obituary Eric Kenneth Degerness was born on October 10, 1962 in Spokane, WA. He was the son of Kenneth and Francine Degerness and brother to Craig and Chris Degerness, Dana and Thomas Myers, Cheryl Degerness, and Kristen Degerness. He also was Uncle Eric to Bradley, Aaron, and Anna Myers, Chelsea Gallagher, Mallorie Osborn, and Nicholas and Laura Degerness. Eric passed away on June 30, 2012 in Spokane. He was 49 years old. Eric grew up in Spokane graduating from Shadle Park High School in 1981. He went on to earn an Associate in Applied Science Culinary Arts degree from Spokane Community College. He worked as a chef in several restaurants in Spokane before moving to Boise, ID twelve years ago. In Boise, he moved into restaurant management, receiving honors as a mentor, trainer, and coach to his staff. Eric studied at the Tuscany Culinary Institute in Italy in 2008. His cooking talents brought great joy and happy memories to his family. Eric?s deep faith in God brought him peace and calmness as he said good-bye to his family last week. He will be deeply missed by all of us. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way on Saturday, July 9, 2012.
