With great sadness we wish to announce that Eric Rideout, 22, passed away on November 17, 2025. He was tragically taken from this world far too soon in a car accident on that Monday morning.
Eric was a warm hearted and loving father, son, grandson and brother. He doted on his beautiful two year daughter Elayia who was the light of his life. He will be greatly missed by Elayia, his parents, siblings, grandparents and great-grandmother, many loving cousins, uncles, aunts and a large group of friends.
A young man with big dreams, Eric was an aspiring boxer. He was working hard, with loving support from his Grandpa, his Mom, Tawna, Mo, Alistair, Keegan and Malachi to build a life filled with hope and stability for his daughter.
His sense of humor, loyalty, and deep love for his family and friends defined who he was. He showed up for the people he loved and wasn’t afraid to share his heart with the world.
Born in Spokane, Washington on June 1, 2003, to Jennifer Bodey and Matthew Rideout who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Jennifer will always remember with enormous love her special first born son.
A service for family and friends will be held on November 29, 2025, 10 AM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. A community event will be announced later.
