Erik Jason Dunham

February 16, 1974 - January 05, 2012

Erik Jason Dunham Obituary (Age 37) Erik was born in Spokane Washington to Dennis and DeLora Dunham, as the second sibling of four. His life was spent equally between Seattle and Spokane, graduating from West Valley High School in 1992. During High School Erik was introduced to Theatre which became a passion of his the rest of his life performing at ?Interplayers? in Spokane and landing a very small part in a major motion picture. He loved music and there was not a room in his home without it on. He was a talented singer, songwriter, guitarist, and recorded his own music. He started playing in bands with friends in Junior High School and most recently started a band with his Dad and those jam nights were a highlight of his week. He was also the best Karaoke partner you could ever have. Erik had a strong work ethic and his job gave him stability in his life. He will always be remembered by his coworkers at ?Little Orley?s Candy Company?, ?The Spokane Club?, ?Thirteen Coins?, and more recently at ?Manito Tap House? in Spokane. He had an uncanny ability to make others laugh especially when things were stressful. Erik leaves behind such sorrow and many loved ones in the wake of his death. He is survived by father Dennis Dunham, siblings Brian Spinks (Stacy), Rachel Tomsha (Rod), Adam Norwood (Mali), and stepsister Jeannie Raspberry. His niece Madison misses him terribly, along with nephew Jake, and twin nephews Leo and Cohen who will always remember uncle ?E? playing monster house and ?guys? with them. He is also survived by Aunts Vicki and Tammi, uncle Rod, aunts Lois and Faye, along with cousins, countless friends, ex wife Kate, and lovers who he adored, and his dog Bella. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Burt and Anne Dunham and Darwin and Charlene Hook, his cousin Ryan, and mother DeLora just 7 months ago. ?You lived a life of horrific pain that others could not see. There is nothing left for those behind but many memories. You took your life and took from us a chance to say goodbye. Nothing can replace the sorrow but faith that you fly high. I promise dear that we will survive until the day we meet. We pray for you my sensitive boy and hope that Mom is there to greet. There will be a day when we laugh again and your laugh will echo through. There will be a day when we will go and hope you?ll be there too.? We love you so much and thank you for the time we shared. You made us smile, you made us believe, you encouraged and you listened, and you were a person who lived and oh how you loved so deep?. A memorial service will be held for Erik at Fairmount Memori
