Erna Christina Wilson

Erna Christina Wilson Obituary (Age 93) Erna was born on October 17, 1922 in Ashley, North Dakota. She was the fourth of six children born into a farming family. She grew up on a farm that did not have electricity or running water. She milked cows, raised poultry, tended the family garden, and helped farm with horses. She taught school for two years after leaving home at 18. Erna attended church all of her life. We know she is in a better place, spending eternity with her Savior. She moved to Spokane in 1963 and worked for several different companies. She retired in 1989. Erna had many hobbies. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. She crocheted hundreds of caps for children. Her great passions were playing bridge and dancing. She loved ball room and square dancing. Erna is survived by her two children Patricia Johnson of Lacey and her son, Michael Wilson and his wife Nancy of Spokane; her two grandsons, Eric Wilson of Seattle and David Wilson of Federal Way; and her sister Ester Bender of Great Falls, Montana. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, July 8, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home.
