Ernest Charles Gosnay, Jr. Obituary (Age 84) Passed away June 30, 2009. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on August 6, 1924. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie in 2002. He served in the US Marines during WWII. He graduated from WSU and earned a Masters Degree from Whitworth College. Ernest retired from School District 81 in 1984 after 28 years. He was the head of the mathematics department of Lewis and Clark High School for 6 years when he retired and had taught at Glover Jr. High School where he taught mathematics and earth science for many years prior to that. In 1973-74 he was the president of the Spokane Education Assoc. and had participated in a teacher exchange program in England and Australia. He was a member of Spokane Lodge No. 34 F.&A.M. and was very involved as a ham radio operator (WC7E) and had been a member of the Inland Empire VHF Club. His wife Marie had also taught home economics at Glover Jr. High School. Graveside Service 10:30AM Friday July 10, 2009 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace (meet at the main gate).
