Eufemia "Femme" T. Munn Obituary (Age 80) Passed away at home in Medical Lake, WA on the 22nd of June 2018 at 12:30 a.m. Eufemia was born in Itil, Balabagan, Lanao del Sur on the 23rd of November 1938. She graduated from Southeastern Institute in Padada, Davao in 1955 and went on to complete her Bachlorete of Business from Silliman Unversity in 1960 and a Masters of Special Education at Whitworth University. Eufemia had many careers! She started at Silliman University as the Assistant Dean of Women. After attaining her masters in Special Ed, she worked at Lakeland Village as Vice Principal. She then became Principal at Blair Elementary on Fairchild Air Force Base in Airway Heights, WA. After retiring from Medical Lake School District she decided that she would continue her career at Qingdao International School in China as an English teacher. She made one more stop in Copiapo Chile working for Phelps Dodge as a Teacher. Her main focus later in life was the President of Shalom Science Institute in Balabagan, Lanao del Sur. She remained in this role until her passing. Her other interests were as a member of the Filipino Association of which she was as an officer for a period of time. She also was an active member of Whitworth Presbyterian Church. She also was an author and published ?Bridging a Gap?. Eufemia was preceded in death by her husband Mert; her brothers Virgilio, Constancio, Jeremias, Josue, and Abraham and sister Jovencia. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Remedios, Josephine, Rachel, and Fely; brother Benjamin and a very large extended family. A celebration of life service will be held at Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church at 312 W. Hawthorne Rd., Spokane, WA 99218 on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11 o?clock in the morning with Pastor Tom Sutherland officiating. A reception will directly follow at Qual Hall at the church.
