Eugene James Grandinetti, Jr. Obituary (Age 81) Passed away on September 20, 2009 in Spokane Valley, WA. He was born October 22, 1927 to Eugene and Angeline Grandinetti, Sr. in Spokane, WA. Eugene attended Garfield Elementary as a child, with his two sisters, Irene and Teresa. He went to North Central High School and then on to WSU. Eugene served in the U.S.Army for two years. In 1956 he married the love of his life, Loretta Geraldine Bartnik. They were married for 39 years. Eugene worked as a boy at the Starr Mattress Co. with his father and then later worked for Jensen Berg, JC Penney's Co., and Columbia Leasing where he then retired from. Eugene's passions were hunting, fishing, and playing cards with his family. Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta, both his parents Eugene and Angeline, his sisters Irene, Teresa and Dorothy, nephew Gary Tipton and other aunts and uncles. Eugene is survived by his children Eugene III and his wife Jan, Denny and his wife Melody. He also had four grandchildren, Dave, Eric, Angela, Michael; and a niece Jackie; nephew George; and many cousins and friends. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 12 to 5 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Spokane.
