Eugene T. "Gene" Engle Obituary (Age 81) Passed away July 22, 2012 in Spokane Valley, WA surrounded by his loving family. Born February 11, 1931 in Warren, Ohio, he graduated in 1949 from Leavittsburg High School in Warren, Ohio and attended Youngstown University. He served 4 years in the USAF stationed at Fairchild Air force base. Gene married Dolores M. Coleman on September 25, 1954 at St. Paul?s United Methodist Church in Spokane, WA. He was a resident of Spokane for 45 years where he raised his family and worked in transportation management. During much of his free time he enjoyed building R/C models, water color painting, model railroads, gardening and traveling. Gene was a kind, caring and generous man who was loved by all and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Dolores M. Engle, 5 Children; Vicki Cunningham of Liberty Lake, WA, Steve (Jeannie) Engle, Maple Valley, WA, David Engle, Kirkland, WA, Doug Engle, Washougal, WA, Nancy Lynch, Medical Lake, WA; Brother, Richard (Ruth Ann) Engle of Fort Mill, South Carolina and Sister, Marian (Fred) Sutliff of Warren, Ohio; 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grand Children and 1 on the way, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gene was preceded in death by his Father, Evan E. Engle and Mother, Florence H. Engle. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
