She earned her way through college by packing apples and waiting tables. Early-on she developed a lifetime passion for reading. She and her husband traveled to all the States and much of the world to see the places she read about. Visits from and to family were greatly enjoyed, especially Christmases. Evelyn played bridge, gardened and bowled into her nineties. She constantly did needlework, including knitting and exquisite needlepoint. She will be missed. A family remembrance will be held at a later time.
