Evelyn Jean Godfrey Obituary (Age 85) In the arms of an angel, Evelyn was taken to heaven on July 22, 2014 in Spokane, WA. She was born on March 2, 1929 to Kenneth and Marjorie Featherman in Spokane, WA. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark in 1946. She was employed at The Crescent as manager of the fabric department. Sewing, camping and being a stay-at-home mom, she raised four children and was always involved in school PTA. After the children were raised, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Tom and the Shriners. Evelyn was involved in the Historical Button Society, bowling and very involved in church functions. She was a member of the Southside Christian Church, Daughters of the Nile, El Karnak Temple No. 6 and was an Eastern Star Lifetime Member. Evelyn is survived by her children, Michael P. Murphy, Marjorie A.(Steve) Venziano, Patricia J. Murphy, Teresa M. Miller; grandchildren, Gary Hotchkiss, Brian Frasier, Jeff Hotchkiss, Angela M. (Michael) Samarel, Sean P. Murphy, Katheryn Miller; and 11 great-grandchildren. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Tom Godfrey. Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 26 and Monday, July 28 from 10 am ? 5 pm. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 29 at 1 pm at Heritage Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at Riverside Memorial Park.
