F. Derald Drinkard Obituary (Age 74) Passed away peacefully on 1-1-11 in his home with his partner and family by his side. Derald is survived by his partner of 48 years, Gary Ayers; his 2 daughters, Dawn Toelken and Lisa (Jim) Carothers; his 3 grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Karin) Drinkard; and one sister Darlene (Larry) Sannes. Derald was a creative soul and worked in many fields of design. His true passion was for gardening, creating tranquil surroundings for all to enjoy. He was born in Spokane, Washington on January 14, 1936. He spent many summers at his family?s cabin on Loon Lake. During his life, he and Gary lived in Sandpoint, Idaho as well as Washington?s Long Beach Peninsula, recently returning to Spokane to be near family. His family will greatly miss his companionship, humor and love. At his request no service will be held. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P O Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
