Florence Adelaide (Campbell) Cox Obituary (Age 91) Passed away on February 3, 2012 in Spokane, Washington. She was born on February 14, 1920, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Archie Walker Campbell and Ruth Edna (Urban) Campbell. She was preceded in death by siblings Burt and Archie Campbell and Albina "Betty" Elliott, husband Walter Madison Cox, Sr. and son Walter Madison Cox, Jr. She will be greatly missed by her children Ruth (Richard) Taylor, Mary Cox, Bruce Campbell, Marci (Karl) Kollat, and Emily (Mike) Deaver, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. As a child she lived in Canada, moved to New York during the depression, married and raised six children, moved to Spokane, WA in 1968, worked as a child care provider, and moved to Chattaroy, WA in 1986. She loved quilting, reading, traveling, and listening to music. The visitation is available on February 7th and 8th from 10am to 5pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 509 N. Government Way. Service will be on February 9th at 2:30pm at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Spokane Public Library Foundation, Attn: Sandra Kernerman, 906 W. Main Ave., Spokane, WA 99201, to purchase large print materials, or to the Alzheimer's Association Inland Northwest Chapter, 910 W. 5th Ave., Ste. 256, Spokane, WA 99204.
