Floyd L. Dobson Obituary Floyd L. Dobson (84) met our Lord and Savior on September 14, 2011 in Spokane, WA. He was born May 15, 1927 in Tillamook, Oregon to Marvin and Verlie Dobson. Floyd took honor in serving his country in the Army from 1944-1955. When he returned he attended Graceland College in Lamoni, IA and Washington State University where he met JoAnne Cheatham. Floyd married JoAnne in 1954 and they have enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Floyd served the Lord as an ordained Priest for Community of Christ and has been a devoted husband, loving father, and a friend to many. JoAnne and Floyd spent their spare time camping at Priest Lake, traveling with sisters and their husbands and a niece to many exotic places. Floyd loved the outdoors and they spent many summers driving to Alaska to fish and spend time with their son Patrick and his family. Floyd is survived by his wife JoAnne and four children; Patrick Dobson (Sissy), Susan Welton, Daniel Dobson (Stacy), David Dobson (Chrissey), and cherished grandchildren; Curtis, Nina, Ashley, Cassy, Morgan, Haley, Tyler. Darbi, Lindy , and great grandchild Clair. Floyd is also survived by his 12 brothers and sisters; Arnold Dobson (Nancy), Ralph Dobson (Becky), Don Dobson, Art Dobson (Gerry), Carl Dobson (Lois), Bert Dobson (Gloria), Ruth Peterson, Ida Pruitt (Richard), Nola Detrick, Edith Satler (Richard), Linda Anson (Gene), Harold Dobson (Chris), also numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Bertha Holland. Visitation will be Tues 12-5 and Wed 9-10:30 at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wed. 9/21 at 11am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 3pm at Community of Christ Church, 11515 E. Broadway.
