Forrest J. Armstrong Obituary (Age 79) Forrest Jerry Armstrong was born January 13, 1938 to Harvey and Marie Armstrong in Des Moines, Iowa, and left this world on August 24, 2017 at the age of 79. He grew up on a 40-acre farm near Monroe, WA along with his sister Phyllis. Forrest Jerry always loved animals and birds. He loved horses who he trained and entered in Quarter Horse Races. He loved to watch car races. He loved watching football and other sports. Forrest Jerry and Mimi moved to Nebraska back in 2005. He said, that was the best thing I ever did in my life. Forrest Jerry is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mimi Armstrong of Spokane, WA; daughters, Carrie (Ken) Wamstad of MN, Tracy (Jeff) Healy of Spokane, WA; sister, Phyllis Trippel of Marysville, WA; and six grandchildren, Clayton (Holly) Wamstad of NE, Jaden (William) Ernst of AR, Mica, Susanna, Jessie and William Wamstad of MN; nephew, Kenneth Mansion, Jr.; and nieces, Patricia, Trinda, Linda, Sandy, and Judy. Forrest Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; seven of his siblings; and nieces, Brandi and Bonnie. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm October 27th at Greenacres Baptist Church 18620 E. Sprague Ave., Greenacres, WA 99016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana St., Spokane, WA 99217 or Hospice of Spokane, 121 S.
