Frances A. Overman Obituary (Age 79) Frances was born on October 9, 1934 in Woodside, MN to Isaac E. and Rose A. Rhoades. She grew up in Minnesota and later moved to Spokane during her sophomore year. She graduated from West Valley High School in 1954. Following graduation, she completed beauty school training at Esther?s School of Beauty. Hair was always a passion of hers and she loved her employment at Millwood Beauty Shop, where she worked for 5 years. Later she moved to Omaha, NB, where she raised 5 children. She was employed at Omaha Steaks International as a portion packer for 8 years. In 1976, Frances returned to Spokane so she could be closer to her family. Her life took a wonderful turn when she met Joe Hagood in 1985. They soon began to pursue their adventures in travel. For the next 20 years they enjoyed traveling around the world. In addition to travel her greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. Frances was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Rose Rhoades; brothers: Cleo Tracy and Charles Edward; sister: Jeanene Roseanne; husband: David Brown Jr.; son: Michael James and grandson Joshua. She is survived by her beloved Joe; daughters: Debbie (Randy), Tammy (Kurt), Pam and Amy; son Scott; brothers: Gale, Ron and Ivan Rhoades as well as 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members. Frances was a member of Calvary Chapel where she was known as ?the hugger?. Her love of the Lord was an inspiration to all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 1:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children?s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mom, we all want to thanks you for being there for us. We love you and will miss you forever.
