Frank Barger Obituary (Age 89) Frank passed away February 14, 2012 at home in Medical Lake, WA with his wife, Robin, by his side. He was born October 7, 1922 in Lyman, WA to Frank and Maude McGaffin Barger. They later moved to Everett, WA where he attended high school. He joined the US Navy and retired as Chief Petty Officer after 26 years. Frank was so proud of his military service which included 44 months in the South Pacific during WWII aboard the USS Trinity AO13. He worked as a cabinet maker at Spokane Woodworking after the war before being recalled into the Navy. After retiring he worked at Interlake School in Medical Lake. Frank is survived by Robin, his wife of 34 years; daughter Carrie (Gabor Zovanyi) Anderson, Spokane; grandson Sean (Julie) Anderson, San Diego, CA; great-granddaughter Ruby Carmela Anderson, New York; sister Vivien Simon, Salinas, CA; step-children Kim (Robert) Keister, Tacoma, WA, Cindy (Bob) Elkins, Spokane, Tracy (Diane) Raines, Hailey, ID, and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Carrie Montgomery Barger. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
